Chicken supply is back but costs bite

Poultry supplier Inghams is starting to see an easing in the supply and labour pressures brought to the fore by omicron, but chief executive Andrew Reeves says pandemic costs will stay higher for some time yet.

Mr Reeves refused to put a timeline on a recovery from a disruptive first half that required Inghams to pause production of certain products, causing clients like KFC and Woolworths to run short of chicken. Chicken is back heading to these outlets again as production ramps up.
