ACCC says Inghams can work with chicken rivals

The $1.2 billion chicken processing giant, Ingham’s Group, has been given the green light by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to work with rivals and even use each other's processing plants in Victoria to try to prevent food shortages.

The ACCC on Monday gave an urgent interim authorisation to chicken processors so they can work together to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Victorian stage four restrictions on the chicken meat industry.
