Hand sanitiser boom and bust trips up McPherson's

At the peak of the coronavirus crisis, retailers and suppliers struggled to secure enough hand sanitiser to meet demand from nervous consumers. Now some can't give it away.
Consumer goods company McPherson's has written off $5.7 million of hand sanitiser it ordered during the pandemic, but which arrived too late for it to take advantage of the boom in demand.
