Freelancer puts growth ahead of profit as global expansion continues
Chief executive of online jobs marketplace Freelancer Matt Barrie said the fact that the company recorded a loss for the full year was less important than figures that showed the number of payments being made for completed jobs had grown 190 per cent.
The company, which is aiming to become the "eBay of jobs," released its full year accounts on Thursday, showing its revenue growing at the fastest rate since the company listed in 2013 to hit $52.7 million, while making a marginal loss of $100,000.
