Domino’s plots super-sized expansion
Domino’s Pizza is taking advantage of ultra low interest rates and its strongest earnings growth in four years to embark on a new phase of growth, opening a record number of stores and scouting for new pizza territories.
Chief executive Don Meij said Australia’s largest pizza chain would open more than 260 new stores or five a week this year, compared with 163 last year, and was actively looking to buy new territories and rival chains to add to its network of 2,795 stores.
