Three years after an epic takeover battle that ended with the merger of iconic Australian surf brands Billabong and Quiksilver, Dave Tanner is stepping down from the helm of Boardriders Inc.

A former The North Face and Nike executive, Arne Arens, has been appointed to the top job from March 1.
