Crocs takes Rivers owner to court over alleged copycat clog

American shoe manufacturer Crocs is suing Mosaic Brands, alleging the Australian speciality fashion retailer is promoting and selling trademark-infringing copies of its well-known sandals through its Rivers chain of stores.

The NASDAQ-listed Crocs lodged an action in the Federal Court of Australia last week against Mosaic Brands, formerly known as Noni B, with allegations of trademark infringement, as well as misleading and deceptive conduct under Australian Consumer Law.
