Breville expands into China as it basks in the glow of coffee machines

Breville says it will begin selling its popular high-end coffee machines in China this year as the small appliance manufacturer outlines plans to expand rapidly across Asia and into the Middle East.

The company, which counts billionaire Solomon Lew as its biggest investor, has grown rapidly on the back of its successful coffee machine range. Its Oracle Touch and Oracle Jet products, which sell for more than $3600, have pushed sales at the company to more than double in five years.
