Plus-sized retailer City Chic will use its newly acquired Evans brand as a base to expand further into the United Kingdom and has flagged more acquisitions after a solid December-half result underpinned by soaring online sales.

City Chic outlaid $41 million in December for the e-commerce and wholesaling business of the Evans group, which was part of Sir Philip Green’s collapsed Arcadia Group, to expand into the $9 billion UK plus-sized market.
