ATO labels Mighty Craft payout a ‘token’

The Australian Taxation Office labelled a proposed payout of less than 1¢ in the dollar following the collapse of beer group Mighty Craft as a “token” amount and tried unsuccessfully to adjourn the meeting to extract a better deal.
The ATO is owed about $9 million in the collapse of Mighty Craft, which was placed into administration in July, with debts of $40 million.
