Strategy consulting firms tend to be “early victims” of recessions, but clients usually return in force for advice once they have exhausted ways of quickly cutting costs.
That’s the view of Chris Outram, the 74-year-old co-founder of international strategy advice outfit OC&C, who has “unfortunately” seen many economic downturns in more than three decades in the field.
