So far technology has only claimed the jobs of junior lawyers, but consultants now warn that law firms have little more than five years before artificial intelligence starts hitting the work of senior lawyers and partners.
"Many are underestimating the rapid pace of advances in artificial intelligence. Some law firms are sleepwalking towards a disaster," Ted Dwyer of Dwyer Consulting said. "Particularly those with growth strategies premised on increasing head count."
