Technology and the increasing tendency of in-house to do more for themselves poses the greatest challenges to firms but many say they are trying to turn these negatives to opportunities.
Some firms are trialling or developing their own artificial intelligence to compete with the ever-increasing number of legal technology providers on the market. Rather than scrounge for deals some are providing services to help in-house teams to become more independent.
