Progress on free trade deal for foreign lawyers

Leading law firms have welcomed news that Australia and the UK have taken the first steps toward a free trade agreement for lawyers that will relax strict rules around the admission of foreign lawyers.
They had complained that global experts in practice areas such as infrastructure and finance are refusing job offers in Australia and that hundreds of lawyers each year are being shut out.
