New trading halt guidance targets small caps

Shareholders agree with big business that trading halts are viewed negatively by the market, but a regulatory push for companies to use them more to manage disclosure obligations could end up having a greater impact on smaller companies.
The Australian Securities Exchange has told companies to consider using trading halts more often as a means to improve continuous disclosure.
