The Australian arm of Alvarez & Marsal forecasts revenue will hit $100 million this financial year, making it one of the country’s fastest-growing advisory firms, thanks in part to the dozens of former big four and strategy consulting partners who have joined since it launched locally in late 2022.

Alvarez & Marsal has so far recruited 32 former big four partners, including 14 from EY, 10 from PwC and six from KPMG. Among the many enticements is the firm’s remuneration model, which means recruits could potentially earn multiples of the average big four partner pay of between $600,000 and $900,000 a year.
