Top partners at London “magic circle” law firm Linklaters have taken home almost £2 million ($3.8 million) each after a bounceback in deal-making.

Average payouts for equity partners increased 8 per cent to £1.9 million in the year to April, as revenues at the firm surpassed £2 billion for the first time.
