It’s that time of year when everyone is overindulging a little with the onset of the silly season and lamenting the fact that it’s not yet Christmas and time for a well-deserved break.

That sad fact became a little more apparent to Judge Peter Jacobson this week when he was presiding over the settlement hearing of the class action against National Australia Bank for purportedly charging illegal fees.
