Litigation lawyers have emerged as the leading players in this year’s edition of Best Lawyers in Australia, with the insurance sector also thriving off the back of two years of uncertainty driven by the coronavirus.

The global directory service, which relies on peer reviews, has included 4443 solicitors and barristers from 581 firms across 95 practice areas in the long list of its 15th edition. There are 259 new entries, with 34 in litigation and 30 in insurance.
