The deployment of Scabby the Rat and other out-dated expressions of picket line ferocity have seen the Fair Work Ombudsman confirm a formal investigation into coal union conduct at the increasingly infamous Oaky North lock-out.
On January 9, the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO) informed the leadership of the CFMEU Mining and Energy division that it had commended an investigation into behaviour at the mine from May 1 last year with the aim of assessing whether the union had breached workplace laws.
