New Standard Energy says calculations of its Heintschel gas condensate field in its Colorado County Project have revealed a significant potential hydrocarbon resource that is substantially larger than first predicted. AKG (the US-based operator of NSE’s JV projects in Texas) calculated contingent recoverable resources to range from 25.6bn cu ft of gas and 0.46m barrels of condensate (mmbc) to 88 Bcf and 1.6 mmbc – with a mid-case estimate of 59 Bcf and 1.1 mmbc.
