Australia’s biggest gold miner has warned of a “flight of capital” out of the resources sector on the back of Albanese government decisions that have destabilised projects and rendered others uneconomic.

Northern Star boss Stuart Tonkin issued the warning after Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek’s eleventh-hour indigenous heritage decision which derailed a near-$1 billion mining project in NSW.
