Shares in Tasmanian explorer Venture Minerals rocketed 25 per cent in trade on Friday after it revealed a maiden direct shipping iron ore resource just 3.5 kilometres from the company’s tin and tungsten deposit.

On Friday Venture said it could achieve more than $90 million in net revenue generated from the sale of the direct shipping ore, with less than $3 million of up front capital costs.
