Thiess ‘failed to pay’ redundancy, lawsuit alleges

Lawyers for a former Thiess tradesman fighting the mining services group in court after his job on a Pilbara iron ore mine was terminated say they are seeing more big companies using their complicated corporate structures to weaken pay and conditions.
Thiess, the mining services group that is trying to take over Western Australian company MACA, is defending two lawsuits in the Western Australian branch of the Federal Court.
