Rex Minerals proposed Hillside copper project on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula is in turmoil after the immediate resignation of managing director Mark Parry and the announcement that the scope of the feasibility study for the project needs to be widened.
The project, which has been approved by the South Australian government but still requires financial backing, has experienced a number of delays associated with regulatory approvals, land access agreements and some commercial agreements.
