Carnarvon Petroleum said the Tapao Kaew well, onshore Thailand, had drilled to 1600m on the way to total depth of 1715m. No significant reservoir sections have been intersected, resulting in slower-than-anticipated drilling through claystone formation and a lack of hydrocarbon shows. Carnarvon has a 50 per cent stake, Sun Resources 42.5 per cent and Peak Oil & Gas, a proposed subsidiary of Raisama, 7.5 percent.
