Mineral Resources’ has overhauled rules for how staff can trade shares as part of the miner’s efforts to address the litany of governance failures that have made it a target of the tax office and the corporate watchdog.
Ahead of the miner’s annual shareholder meeting in Perth on Thursday, MinRes chairman Malcolm Bundey has imposed a so-called “front page” test for trading and related-party deals, which means transactions must be perceived to be above board, regardless of their legality.
