Magnis Resources joins BP in German lithium-ion battery partnership

Australian graphite aspirant Magnis Resources has secured a role in proposed lithium-ion battery gigafactory to be built in Germany with the backing of British energy giant BP.

Magnis chairman Frank Poullas said the Sydney company signed a memorandum of understanding with a German public-private partnership for the development of a 30 gigawatt hour lithium-ion battery factory and recycling plant in the industrial hub of Emscher-Lippe in Germany's North Rhine Westphalia region.
