Liontown’s future tied to Korean battery giant in $379m funding deal

Liontown Resources boss Tony Ottaviano will defy grim forecasts for lithium prices and advance an audacious plan to build a battery chemical refinery in partnership with South Korea’s LG Energy Solution.
Mr Ottaviano sought to silence Liontown’s doubters on Tuesday by declaring the company’s flagship Kathleen Valley mine would be in production on-time and on-budget before the end of the month.
