The $4 billion Canadian miner behind the stunning revival of Victoria's Fosterville gold mine believes it can become one of the biggest gold companies in Australia after its securities started trading on the ASX on Thursday.
Kirkland Lake Gold chief executive Tony Makuch said the company had "felt the need" to list in Australia on the back of the company's growing presence in Victoria, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.
