Jetson charts 'bold, aggressive' flight plan for St Barbara

New St Barbara managing director Craig Jetson says there are far too many gold mining companies in Australia and Canada, and he is keen to drive consolidation through a ''bold'' and ''aggressive'' approach to mergers and acquisitions.

Seven months after taking the reins of the 51-year-old gold miner, Mr Jetson will soon present investors with his strategic ''flight plan'' for the company, which will include the sort of multi-year production growth target issued by rivals such as Saracen Mineral Holdings in recent years.
