Global Lithium Resources has succeeded in delaying its annual shareholder meeting, giving the Foreign Investment Review Board more time to investigate allegations of covert Chinese influence over the West Australian critical minerals explorer.

The miner had flagged concerns of a possible breach of foreign ownership rules after a Chinese-born minority shareholder sought election to the board in a push to limit the number of directors to three.
