Fortescue, MinRes among lower grade iron ore miners about to get some respite

Australia's lower grade iron ore miners could be in for some respite with analysts predicting the price penalties applied to their products may continue to shrink in coming weeks.

Early signs of the trend were revealed in price data published by Fortescue Metals Group last week and any continuation could also benefit Chris Ellison's Mineral Resources (MinRes), which has acquired two lower grade iron ore assets in the past four months.
