Former WA premier calls for EDO to be abolished

A former WA premier has called for the Environmental Defenders Office to be abolished after a Federal Court judge found the non-profit litigation group confected evidence in the Santos case.
Colin Barnett said there was no reason for the EDO to receive millions in taxpayer cash, while also warning “ego-driven” judges against freelancing as environmental decision-makers for major projects.
