Abbotsford, British Columbia | Modest. It’s the word that best describes the Canadian town where Mike Henry grew up – and by all accounts, the man himself.

Henry, who officially took over as chief executive of BHP on January 1, has politely declined to talk much about his childhood, preferring to let an impressive 30-year career in the resources sector speak to his character.
