Fake coal quality lawsuit puts miner's board under microscope

Miner Terracom’s chief executive allegedly claimed the company’s board, which included former Leighton Holdings boss Wal King and ALP powerbroker Jim Soorley, wanted coal analysis results manipulated, according to court documents.

The alleged fake boosting of quality results was needed to facilitate coal sales to a Japanese buyer, a former TerraCom commercial manager has alleged in an amended statement of claim.
