DFAT mulls move against sanction-busting ASX-listed Russian miner
Foreign affairs officials have not ruled out prosecuting ASX-listed Russian coal miner Tigers Realm Coal for violating Australian sanctions law imposed after the Kremlin invaded Ukraine, saying “all relevant options” were on the table.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade said it was mulling its next move after a major win on Tuesday, when Federal Court judge Geoffrey Kennett found sanctions did apply to Tigers Realm – and that it was in breach of them by exporting coal from Siberia.
