Federal MP Clive Palmer has lost a Supreme Court bid to extract $US48 million ($65 million) from his estranged Chinese business partner Citic that he said was necessary to keep his Townsville nickel refinery business afloat.
The decision, handed down by Justice Paul Tottle in Perth late on Monday, followed warnings that all 776 refinery workers would be laid-off if the money was not forth-coming.
