Ausdrill digs deep to secure underground mining contractor Barminco

Mining services company Ausdrill hasn't ruled out smaller acquisitions after moving to secure underground mining contractor Barminco in a long-anticipated deal worth $271 million.
Ausdrill acting chief executive Theresa Mlikota said on Wednesday that the Barminco acquisition was a "long-standing, audacious goal" and a natural fit with Ausdrill's drill and blast and other mining services operations.
