Asset shakeup expected at small end of gold sector

Metals X says it will consider the sale of its Rover gold project in the Northern Territory, adding its name to a growing list of gold producers more open to divestments after a period of acquisitive growth.
The diversified miner told the market on Monday it had received several expressions of interest for its key gold development project and while it was not "a required or desired divestment" it would consider all firm offers.
