Administrators' independence cleared in Mesa Minerals judgment
A fierce legal push that dragged Mineral Resources managing director Chris Ellison and one of Perth's most prominent administrators through the courts has failed with the Supreme Court of Western Australia entirely rejecting a Chinese group's claims.
In a judgment handed down on Thursday, Master Craig Sanderson rejected assertions that the independence of Pitcher Partners Perth managing director Bryan Hughes and executive director Daniel Bredenkamp had been compromised while the pair were acting as administrators of ASX-listed manganese junior Mesa Minerals.
