If a woman was charged with pushing her husband over a railing to his death with no witnesses she would have a much better chance of getting off in Australia than in France.

So says leading barrister Matt Collins, KC, after seeing Anatomy of a Fall – a courtroom drama that is one of the 10 films nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards on Monday (AEDT).
