Robert Ovadia, the high-profile TV reporter sacked from Channel Seven’s newsroom, has dropped his unfair dismissal case against the network, citing the emotional and financial toll the lawsuit would have on his family.
In a statement shared with media on Friday afternoon, Mr Ovadia’s lawyer, Laxon Lex’s John Laxon, said his client denied any wrongdoing but would discontinue the case.
