Love Island drives online audience and revenue for Nine Entertainment

It may have been six weeks old but that didn't deter 8000 people from streaming the premiere of Love Island Australia, Nine Entertainment's reality TV show, last Thursday. It was the same evening Nine screened the finale on its multi-channel Go! as well as its streaming and catch-up TV app 9Now.

The show's success has exposed the growing popularity of streaming and how traditional TV operators are winning a slice of the action.
