On the late shift at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital in south-west Sydney two NSW Health nurses log in to Chatruletka, an online platform that allows strangers to talk by video.

Encounters here are spontaneous but not impermanent, as the pair of nurses will soon discover when their meeting with Israeli influencer Max Veifer lands them in a social media firestorm and out of a job.
