Former Fairfax executives score VC backing for mystery start-up

Two former Fairfax Media executives who were tasked with overhauling the news company’s digital strategy have scored backing from a boutique venture capital firm for a mystery start-up.

Chris Janz, Fairfax’s former director of publishing innovation, and David Eisman, former director of subscriptions growth, set up Scire Pty Ltd at the end of last year, according to recent corporate filings.
