The ABC’s failed bid to defend its sacking of journalist Antoinette Lattouf in court has cost the public broadcaster at least $2.6 million over three years.
Federal Court Justice Darryl Rangiah in June found the ABC breached employment law by terminating Lattouf “for reasons including that she held a political opinion opposing the Israeli military campaign in Gaza”.
