Andrew Probyn to go as ABC announces 120 jobs cuts
The ABC will slash up to 120 jobs from its ranks, including its political editor Andrew Probyn, in a major cost-cutting drive to become more like YouTube, Spotify and Netflix instead of a traditional broadcaster.
After a major restructure last month that divided the public broadcaster into a news division and content team, ABC managing director David Anderson confirmed in a staff-wide email on Thursday that there would be deep cuts hitting that day.
