Rob LoCascio is the founder of  a multibillion-dollar AI marketing company, LivePerson, who is "embarrassed" by the arrogance of his technology peers who mostly think they are doing good for industry and society.

Silicon Valley, he says, has largely been oblivious or ambivalent to the dangers of social media, and AI risks the same problems if governments don't intervene quickly. There are a host of AI trouble spots which Mr LoCascio says include how bias is being written into algorithms, mostly by white men in Silicon Valley.
