Struggling Sims liquidates $435m in assets in strategic reset

Metal recycler Sims has liquidated $435 million worth of assets to help it survive the toughest economic conditions for the industry in a decade and promised improved shareholder returns from its strategic reset.
The company offloaded its United Kingdom metal recycling business to Unimetals Group for £195 million ($385 million), ending a nine-month review of the struggling asset.
